Some may recall that horrific flooding in West Virginia caused the 2016 Greenbrier Classic to be cancelled. Among the victims of the flooding and cancellation was Special Event Service and Rental, a company that provided The Greenbrier with equipment to be used in connection with the tournament.
The rental company has recently filed suit against the Greenbrier in federal court, alleging that the flooding caused its equipment to be damaged and/or not returned, resulting in damages exceeding $600,000.
The complaint alleges that the Greenbrier recovered from its insurance carriers monies that were earmarked for the rental company, but the Greenbrier has failed to pass on the payments.
Additional background and a copy of the complaint can be found here.
