This month, the National Golf Foundation is featuring in its Dashboard emagazine the report and recommended best practices recently issued by the National Golf Committee Advisory Committee.
Commenting on the Advisory Committee’s recommendation that the golf industry should adopt mediation and arbitration as the preferred methods for golf-related business to resolve disputes, NGF noted as follows:
It is perhaps an unfortunate fact of contemporary business (and life, for that matter) that legal issues must be considered in virtually everything we do as professionals. We need to do more than react to disputes by contacting attorneys; we must anticipate where conflicts may occur, and take responsible pre-emptive action to protect our respective businesses.
